ICA's Fall Fundraiser - Step Up for IC/BPS Awareness & Educational Event - Virtual

September 19-23, 2022

Now is your chance to STEP UP for IC/BPS!

Help us keep the momentum going for a third year as we come together VIRTUALLY for the Step Up for IC/BPS - ICA Awareness Walk that everyone across the country can participate in!

Hosted by the ICA, participants will get access to NEW information through our featured IC Awareness Month expert offerings - all while working to raise awareness and funding for better care for IC/BPS everywhere. And it’s free to sign up and participate!

When: September 19-23 (Monday to Friday)

Where: VIRTUALLY, ANYWHERE! You can register, participate, and join with thousands of others across the country as we all raise awareness and funds for IC/BPS.

Goal: Increase awareness of IC/BPS across the country, bring the IC/BPS community together, and raise $25,000 for the ICA!

Event 2 - In-Person Walk

ICA Awareness Walk - Cartersville, GA

September 24, 2022

Description

Gather with your family, friends, healthcare providers, and support group members for a day of IC/BPS awareness and an empowering experience for people living with IC/BPS! Take the steps to: Raise funds to advance IC/BPS research, education, and advocacy Promote IC/BPS awareness in local communities Create communities of support for IC/BPS patients and families Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is recurring pelvic pain, pressure, or discomfort in the bladder and pelvic region, often associated with urinary frequency (needing to go often) and urgency (feeling a strong need to go). IC/BPS can affect anyone, with more than 12 million people in the US experiencing symptoms.

When: September 24

Where: Dellinger Park “Vita Course” and Pavilion 3 100 Pine Grove Road Cartersville, GA US 30120.

How: Registration fee for the in-person event is $20 (includes Step Up for IC/BPS t-shirt and IC awareness bracelet). Children under 16 are free (t-shirt not included).

The event will consist of:

  • Remarks from Dr. Jeffrey Proctor, Georgia Urology and member of the ICA’s Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Proctor has been involved in national research protocols for IC/BPS serving as principal investigator for a national, multi-center study.
  • Stretching
  • One mile walk through Dellinger Park.
  • Stay for a meet-n-greet with healthcare providers, ICA board members, fellow IC/BPS patients, and caregivers following the Walk.
Register by midnight on Friday, September 10th to be guaranteed your Step Up for IC/BPS t-shirt!!

Fundraising Incentives

Awards will be given to the top fundraiser, the team leader with most registered members, and the team with the most creative name! Top individual Step Up for IC/BPS fundraisers receive incentive prizes for reaching fundraising milestones. Every dollar you and your team raise helps to support IC/BPS awareness, research, and education. Your commitment to help the ICA reach its goals will be celebrated during IC Awareness Month.
